WHAT IS LAFF?
Love At First Flight is a tournament that was created in 2008 to give starting players and teams the opportunity to play competitive Ultimate at their own level.
To create such a fair tournament, the following players can attend LAFF:
- Male players: maximum three years of experience
- Female players: no experience restriction
- Youth players (under 18): no experience restriction
Of course, these restrictions can also be mixed: for example, your team may consist of two U18 players who already play for five years, three 26-year-old players who have one year of Ultimate experience, and a 30-year-old woman who's been playing for over 12 years.
If you are lucky enough to be too experienced, you're welcome to join our tournament as a guest, a coach, or even as a player in the 'Still In Love division' (see below)!
With LAFF, we want to create an experience that's more than just an Ultimate tournament. We want to charm you, surprise you, and give you the feeling you never want LAFF to end!
WHEN IS LAFF?
LAFF always takes place during the first weekend of August, so make sure to highlight that weekend in your agenda! For 2026, it will be from Friday evening, 31/07, until Sunday afternoon, 02/08.
DIVISIONS
LAFF has an open, mixed, and SIL division! Each division plays 5 vs 5 on lush fields of grass measuring 75 by 25 metres.
The Still In Love division is a loose mixed (!) division for teams that played LAFF before but exceed the experience restriction. Do you want to relive that unique LAFF feeling? Make sure to sign up for this special division then!
9UP ULTIMATE
For the official LAFF merchandise, we have a partnership with 9UP Ultimate!
Just like LAFF, 9UP Ultimate respects the environment by avoiding unnecessary plastic packaging and using 100% recycled polyester as the main fabric for their clothes. Make sure to check out the merchandise stand and get that LAFF triangle shown across the globe!
PLAYER AND TEAM FEE
We will offer you the highest quality tournament for a very reasonable price!
Just ask anybody who has ever attended an event organised by Diabolic Heaven!
- Player fee: €60
- Team fee: €150
The player fee includes a welcome drink on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Saturday evening, an awesome player gift, and lots of surprises!
THEME
Welcome to LAFF's most out-of-this-world spectacle yet! We're transforming our arena into a dazzling "Cosmic Realm" where every match is star-coated with excitement. Get ready to compete in this galaxy. It's going to be absolutely stellar!
ACCOMMODATION
Bring your own tents to sleep in; we'll transform the campsite into a love nest (exclusive for 'Love at First Flight' participants)!
For teams travelling by plane, we can arrange some on-site tents. For people wanting more luxury (or extra nights), there is also a hostel nearby, but be careful, you might miss out on some fun at the campsite!
